Bengaluru News Live Updates, November 4, 2022: The passenger levels at the Bengaluru airport is back to pre-Covid levels, registering a growth of 102% in domestic travel and 85% in international travel, the airport’s operator Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) said in a statement. Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Kochi, and Pune have been the top domestic routes accounting for 44 per cent of all traffic, while Dubai, Doha, Singapore, Frankfurt, and Male have been the top international routes contributing to 54 per cent of the international traffic in FY 2023 to date, as per a PTI report.
Seven women were killed and 11 others injured when an auto and a truck collided with each other in Karnataka’s Bidar district late on Friday. The drivers of the two vehicles are among the injured and are in critical condition, said the police.
In other news, Karnataka Health Minister K Sudhakar has ordered an inquiry into the death of a pregnant woman from Tamil Nadu after she was denied admission to the Tumakuru district hospital allegedly for lack of papers. The minister said that prima facie, three nurses in charge of the maternity ward and an on-duty doctor have been found negligent.
