Fairfield-Suisun school board updates job descriptions, makes … – Fairfield Daily Republic

FAIRFIELD — The governing board for the Fairfield-Suisun School District approved updates this week to several job descriptions for the coming school year as well as made changes for some salaries.
Job descriptions were updated Thursday for several positions, including the senior director of Elementary Education; assistant director of Elementary Education; director of Special Education; assistant director of Human Resources-Risk Management; compliance office; assistant director of Curriculum Instruction and Assessment; executive director of Communications and Community Engagement; director of Human Resources; and assistant director of Human Resources.

Trustees also approved an authorization for employment on a variable term waiver for certificated employees. This will give applicants additional time to complete the requirements for the credential that authorizes them to work in the district.
In addition, the Fairfield-Suisun Management Association agreed to a 3.6% increase for the 2022-23 school year. The increase was included with the CSEA tentative agreements by the Governing Board on June 16.
FSMA compensation increases reflect that of other positions in the district.

Part of the update was to the stipends for master’s and doctoral degrees. The stipend for a master’s degree is now $1,785; it is now $2,213 for a doctoral degree,  according to Ken Whittemore, assistant superintendent of Human Resources.
Also changed were several salary schedules assistant superintendent positions, and new agreements with Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services Sheila McCabe ($216,545 in the first year), Assistant Superintendent of Business Services Laneia Grindle ($204,125 in the first year), and Whittemore ($216,545 in the first year).
The annual salary for each year of these agreement will be adjusted automatically to an equal percentage provided on the classified and certificated management salary schedule, the district reports.
