Award-winning Bhojpuri writer found dead in Patna flat
Famous Bhojpuri writer Brajkishor Dubey was found dead under suspicious circumstances in his friend’s flat on Monday, police said.
Dubey, who had been awarded by the President for his contribution in Bhojpuri literature, had taken the key to friend’s flat in Rajiv Nagar area a couple of days ago, saying that he wants to stay alone in a peaceful manner to write an important piece for his upcoming book.
Patliputra Colony SHO S.K. Shahi said that the writer had left a suicide note where he has not blamed anyone.
Rajasthan: Bodies of 2 minors washed away in canal in Kota found
Bodies of two minors were retrieved on Monday after they were swept away in a canal here in separate incidents, police said.
Nandni (12), along with her cousin sisters Radha (21) and Archana (16), and brother Sawan (14), all residents of Dabar village, had gone to take a dip in Darbar canal on Sunday, police said.
No merger with Chirag Paswan until he publicly apologises: Pashupati Paras
Union Minister and president of Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) Pashupati Kumar Paras on Monday ruled out the possibility of merging his party with his estranged nephew Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas) till the latter publicly apologises for fighting the 2020 elections alone.
Talking to reporters here, Paras said, “Chirag Paswan may have returned to the NDA, but it does not mean that I have forgiven him. There is no question of coming together with Chirag until he apologises publicly for what he did in 2020. His decision to fight elections alone, despite our advice against doing so, was wrong”.

Elgar case: 4 days after SC order, activist Navlakha yet to be placed under house arrest
Jailed human rights activist Gautam Navlakha, who was last week allowed to be placed under house arrest for a month by the Supreme Court owing to his medical condition, is yet to walk out of Navi Mumbai’s Taloja prison, where he is lodged in connection with the Elgar Parishad-Maoist links case, as formalities for his release are still under process.
The 70-year-old activist, who claims to suffer from multiple ailments, is in custody since April 2020 in the 2017-18 case. On November 10, the Supreme Court allowed Navlakha to be put under house arrest for a month with certain conditions and had said its order should be implemented within 48 hours.
Turkey arrests Syrian woman, accuses PKK over Istanbul attack
Turkey on Monday accused a Syrian woman of planting a bomb that killed six people in Istanbul, blaming the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) of carrying out the attack.
Two girls, aged nine and 15, were among those killed when the bomb exploded shortly after 4:00 pm (1300 GMT) on Sunday in Istiklal Avenue, home to smart boutiques and European consulates. More than 80 other people were wounded.
“The person who planted the bomb has been arrested,” Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said in a statement broadcast by the official Anadolu news agency early Monday.
Delhi restaurants allowed to serve food in open spaces, terrace as MCD eases licensing norms
People in Delhi will now be able to enjoy open-air dining at their favourite restaurants with the MCD allowing the use of open spaces and terraces for serving food, albeit with some restrictions.
According to an official document, eateries in the national capital with terraces and open dining spaces will also not require any additional fire safety certificate from the Delhi Fire Service as long as certain conditions laid by the authority concerned have been met.
“The MCD has approved the grant of licence for use of open space and terrace for dining purpose. In supersession of all earlier orders, servicing of food is now allowed in open space and terraces,” said an official order issued on November 4.

Police arrested four moneylenders from Katwa in Bengal’s Purba Barddhaman district for threatening and abetting a suicide attempt by a school teacher after he failed to repay a loan for which they charged him exorbitant rate of interest. Animesh Sarkar had taken a Rs 5 lakh loan in 2019 for his father’s treatment.

Former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan has once again targeted the Army and accused it of weakening independent institutions in the past and acting together with political dynasties as if “they’re above the law”.
The 70-year-old former cricketer-turned-politician, who is recovering from injuries sustained during an assassination bid, has been at the loggerheads with the Army for a few months after his ouster as the prime minister in April.
Khan alleged that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and Major General Faisal Naseer were part of a sinister plot to assassinate him in the same way former Punjab governor Salman Taseer was killed in 2011 by a religious extremist.

Three dead, two injured in University of Virginia campus shooting
A shooting on the campus of the University of Virginia late Sunday left three people dead and two wounded, university police said in a tweet, adding that the suspect was still at large and “armed and dangerous”.
The university police identified a student, Christopher Darnell Jones as the suspect, and said multiple agencies were engaged in an active search.
Jones was described as wearing a “burgundy jacket, blue jeans and red shoes”, and may have been driving a black SUV, according to the authorities.
