ODF Southwest wants to fill about 130 job vacancies by 2023's fire … – KDRV

JACKSON & JOSEPHINE COUNTIES, Ore. — Oregon’s Department of Forestry is looking for its next firefighters while always on the lookout for the next wildfire.
The Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF) Southwest Oregon District says today it is hiring for entry-level and experienced firefighters, dispatching and detection specialist positions for the 2023 fire season.
ODF Southwest is recruiting for those positions, totaling approximately 130 jobs in Jackson and Josephine counties.  It says these seasonal positions generally work June through October, though duration can vary depending on conditions.
ODF Southwest says its Medford and Grants Pass offices are hiring actively, with benefits including medical, dental and vision health coverage and paid holidays, as well as personal business, vacation and sick leave.  Its deadline to apply for all positions is June 30, with interviews starting in March so, “applying early is highly encouraged.”
